I'm glad college football is back.

Since I can remember I have been involved in a team sport of some kind. It started at a young age where I played t-ball wearing white polyester pants and a baby blue shirt with the team name scripted across the front. Later in life I moved on to basketball. I loved it much more than t-ball, but sadly I am white, short, and not John Stockton. Then came soccer. I was quick, tenacious, and somewhat skilled, but soccer was way too competitive at the higher levels, so in college I found Ultimate Frisbee. I didn't think I could find a sport that challenged me more than soccer, but Ultimate was more than I could hope for. After college I attempted to play tennis, but that didn't amount to more than 2 seasons of beat downs. Recently I have joined a dart league with a few friends. What started as a fun pub game we would play while our wives gossiped in another part of the bar has turned into a weekly organized event.

Recently I competed in a game of 501 where darts are thrown and the total points scored is subtracted starting at 501 until one player has no points. The twist is that you have to double-out. What does that mean?? It means that you have to hit a double number to end the game. If you have 20 points left, you have to hit a double ten. My accomplishment was that I hit a 110 out 20-T20-D15.

This was a big deal and I would have gotten a plaque at the end of the year if it hadn't been for Wes...
Damn you Wes.

Man things have been crazy...I am excited to be back if only in a limited capacity. I will try to update as often as I can. Goodness knows that I will have plenty to talk about simply regarding the pregnancy. As a matter of fact:

I am having a daughter. Her name will be Emma and I couldn't be more excited. I won't lie and tell you that I wasn't rooting for a boy (c'mon Y chromosome!! You can do it!!!), but I am floored about having a little girl. Pink is my new favorite color and I can't wait to be a sucker for my princess. I can't wait to record her first piano or dance recital...I can't wait to tell her that she is daddy's little angel as she lies to me about who broke the glass in the kitchen...and I especially can't wait to intimidate every snot-nose, prepubescent, hormone-raging, trouser stain that talks to my baby.





It's an obvious choice but I don't have to be crafty all the time
